During the annual festival of Kihi Jingu (Tsuruga Festival), on September 2, one float with a stage, called Yoiyama, is sent out. After being purified in front of the Otorii Gate of Kihi Jingu, children dedicate a Japanese dance on the stage to open the festival.
This is followed by a parade down Kagura Street, with drums and shamisen music. In the evening, lanterns are lit on the eve of the festival.
During World War II, the Yoiyama was destroyed by fire, but after the war, it was restored to its original splendor.
