Kanegazushi Yama is one of yama which avoided burning away  in WWII and the first one which was gone around the city in the festival after the war. In 1970 Kanegazushi yama was registered Cltural Property by Tsuruga city. 

The motif of the curtains hanged on the yama is come from Chinese Confucian story “the Twenty-four Filial Exemplars” ; the curtains were made by stich with builtiful yarn. Those curtains were renewed in 2011 and 2012, the older ones are retained in Tsuruga Yama Museum.
